JOHN W. KELLER

One of the old and respected citizens of this county was John W. Keller, who died April 11 at his home near Pittsburg. Mr. Keller was born in Noble county, Ohio, Aug. 17, 1841, and came to Van Buren county, Iowa, in the spring of 1857. On November 26, 1863, he was married to Margaret Smith, in Des Moines township, this county. He is survived by his wife, and two children, James J. of Colorado and Miss Emma, who is at home. He was a member of the Presbyterian church. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon of this week, Rev. Woods of Lebanon in charge of the services, and a large concourse of people attending. The burial was in the Valentine cemetery.
