Minnie Vale, wife of John Vale, died Tuesday night of last week. Her death was sudden. She left a child about a week old. She was a daughter of Ira and Mary Chaplin and grew to womanhood at Cantril and had been married eight or nine years. She left two other children, a boy and a girl, her husband, parents, several brothers and a sister to mourn her death. The funeral was from the home conducted by Elder P. E. Wright and was buried in the Robert's cemetery. Her death was a great shock to her friends and the entire neighborhood. Minnie was a good wife, mother and neighbor.

NOTE: See obituary of Mrs. Alice (Murray) Vale which states "After her husband's death in 1904, she made her home with her husband's brother, John Vale, and children, Forde, Netta and Rex, whose care she has had since their mother's death 1906. She was as near a mother to them as could be and likewise they shall miss her."
