J. C. WILEY
Died at Missoula, Mont., Oct. 6, 1906, J. C. Wiley of Leando, Iowa. The deceased was born in Morgan county, Ohio, March 1, 1832, making his age at his death 74 years, 7 months and 5 days. For the past year his health had been failing, and Oct. 1, he started for the Pacific coast, intending to spend the winter with relatives in Washington. The sad news of his death was received Oct. 6. He died in a hospital in Missoula, Mont., death being caused from a hemorrhage of the lungs. He leaves a wife, 4 sons and 2 daughters. The remains were brought to Leando for interment. Funeral services, Sunday, Oct. 14, were conducted by Rev. Heger, after which the remains were interred in the Leando cemetery.

NOTE: James Clark Wiley, s/o James Wiley and Jemima Lowe, married Rebecca Jane Crawford (1832-1919) on 12 May 1853 Van Buren Co, IA. They had eleven children, I know the names of nine of them. I would like to correspond with others researching this family.
