MRS. ERLE MATHIAS
Mrs. Linnie Mathias, formerly of Van Buren county, Iowa, but more recently of Lewiston, Montana, passed away at the home of James Mathias in Van Buren township, Thursday morning at 1 o'clock, April 18, 1907, aged 37 years, 9 months and 24 days. The deceased was born near Leando, June 24, 1869, where she grew to womanhood. She was united in marriage to Erle Mathias, Dec. 20, 1895, at Great Falls, Mont. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Sullivan of Van Buren township and is survived by her husband, father, two sisters and one brother, the mother having gone before. Linnie was known by her strength of character and her loving disposition. She was a beautiful christian character and an influential woman. None knew her but to love her. Her life will ever be remembered as an embodiment of fortitude, constancy of purpose and womanly love. The funeral was from the Presbyterian church near the home where she died, April 20, at 10 a.m., Rev. Berg in charge of the services. The burial was in the Pittsburg cemetery.
