OBITUARY

Sarah E. Warren, nee Tate, was born in Van Buren county, Iowa, Feb. 11, 1844 and gave her heart to God and united with the M. E. church in early life. she was united in marriage with Christopher Warren, Sept. 7, 1871. She was very faithful in her life work, very quiet and unassuming, but always ready for duty. She died at her home in Vernon township Dec. 10, 1903. The neighborhood, the community, the church, all feel very greatly their loss. It can truthfully be said she was a sweet christian, a good neighbor, a loving mother, and a dutiful wife. Our loss is her eternal gain. The husband, son and daughter are left to mourn their loss, also the aged mother and two brothers. The funeral service was held in the old home church, conducted by the pastor Rev. Carson, after which she was laid to rest in the near by cemetry [sic] to await the resurrection morn.
