Georgia Rebecca Thomas was born February 7, 1884, near Cantril, Iowa, and departed this life September 13, 1934, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ira Dorsey, of near Cantril. On June 4, 1899, she was united in marriage to E. C. Fisher. To this union were born four daughters, Katherine, Winnie, Florence and Lulu.

She united with the Milton Christian church when but 13 years of age under the pastorate of the Rev. P. D. Holloway. Some years later she moved her membership to the Cantril Christian church where she remained a faithful member. She lived the greater part of her life near Cantril with the exception of about five years in Gorin, Mo. She was of a sweet disposition. To know her was to love her. Her thoughts and deeds were always for the good of others.

Those who are left to mourn her departure are her four daughters, Mrs. Sampson Lunsford, Mrs. Earl Warning, Ms. Ira Dorsey, all of Cantril, and Mrs. Len Helsel, of Milton; her father, D. M. Thomas, of North Platte, Nebr.; two sisters, Mrs. John Donaho, of Milton, and Mrs. W. F. Sanders, of North Platte; two brtohers [sic], B. F. Thomas, of North Platte, and L. B. Thomas, of Fremont, Nebr.; two grandsons, Richard Warning, of Cantril, and Harold Helsel, of Milton; besides other relatives and a host of friends. Those who preceded her in death were her mother, Carrie Bell Thomas; an infant brother, Perry Leslie; and two grandsons, Harold Lunsford and Glenn Dorsey.

A loving one from us has gone
A voice we loved is stilled.
A place is vacant in our home
That never can be filled.
