OBITUARY

Ruth Adeline Wright, youngest daughter of Florence and Irvin Wright was born in Burlington, Iowa, August 25, 1892 and died November 22, 1926, aged 34 years, 2 months and 28 days.

When she was twenty-two months old she left Burlington to make her home with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Hoskins, who resided six miles south of Milton. She was an especial favorite of her grandparents and the life of every home in which she lived.

Her grandfather died January 2, 1913, and her grandmother followed him January 25, 1915. Ruth, together with her mother and Uncle Frank Hoskins then moved to Milton.

Ruth was united in marriage with Bert Skelton, September 11, 1917. They lived near and in Farmington, Iowa, four years, then moved to a farm near Milton where she lived the remainder of her life.

Four children were born to this union, Edward James, age eight, Dorothy May, age four, Hattie Florence, age six, and Donald Ray. Donald preceded her mother in death four months ago at an age of 2 years, 4 months and 4 days.

Ruth was always cheerful was good and kind to every one and bore her sufferings with no complaint. She had many friends for to know her was to love her and the place she leaves vacant can never be filled.

She united with the Methodist Episcopal church at Mt. Zion in early girlhood and later moved her membership to the Methodist Episcopal church at Milton. She lived a clean Christian life and was every prepared for her Master's call.

She leaves to mourn their loss her husband, three children, Edward Hattie and Dorothy, her mother, two sisters, Vina Vannest of Tyrone, Colorado, Mary Cox of Farmington, Iowa, two brothers, Harvey Wright of Scotsdale, Arizona, Fred Wright of Keosauqua, Iowa; five nephews, two nieces, besides a number of other relatives and a host of friends.

The funeral was held from the Presbyterian church in Milton, Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 24th. Interment was made in the Milton cemetery.
