OBITUARY
Samuel Beverely Buckles, son of Alexander H. Buckles and Maria Elizabeth McCoy, was born in Iowa, March 11, 1862, and passed away at the home of his brother, in Cantril, Iowa, January 11, 1929, at the age of 66 years, 10 months. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, one brother, Wilber Buckles, and two sisters, Dora and Sadie.
He leaves to mourn his loss two sisters Mrs. Libbie Maxley, Hillsboro, Iowa, and Mrs. Limmie Westfall, of Burlington, Iowa; one brother, Henry Buckles, of Cantril; two nieces, Mrs. Grace Montgomery, Hillsboro, Iowa, and Mrs. Jessie Dower, Kirkwood, Ill.; also, two nephews, Hoyt Moxley, of Kahoka, Mo., and Olin Buckles, of Des Moines, besides a host of friends.
After a short funeral service conducted at the home of his brother by Rev. W. A. Jacobs, his body was laid to rest in the Cantril cemetery.
