VETERAN DIES AT FARMINGTON HOME

Farmington, May 6. -- Harrison Steeples, aged 85, died at his home here at 1 a. m. Friday, after an illness of only a few hours duration. He was one of the few remaining veterans of the Civil War. He had been unable to walk for several years, but enjoyed being wheeled down town in a wheel chair almost every day. The family moved here from Mt. Sterling, a number of years ago. He is survived by the aged widow and five married children, as follows: Mrs. Birdie Pruitt, of Memphis, Mo.; Mrs. Mary Phillips, of this place; Harry Steeples, of Montrose, and William and Wesley Steeples, of Farmington, besides a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Methodist Episcopal church, in charge of the Rev. W. A. Samp.
