MRS. L. C. FOSNOT

Mrs. L. C. Fosnot died at her home in Keosauqua early on the morning of Tuesday, Feb. 17, her death being caused by pneumonia. She was born April 14, 1853, making her age seventy-two years.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at the M. E. church, the pastor, Rev. Apfel, officiating. Interment in Purdom cemetery.

Following is the obituary sketch which was read at the funeral service:

Martha Jane Daughrity, daughter of Benjamin and Sarah Daughrity, was born April 14th, 1853, at Council Bluffs, Iowa. She came with her parents to Keosauqua in the fall of the same year and united with the Methodist Episcopal church when 20 years of age.

She was married to Lewis C. Fosnot April 14th, 1916, and departed from this life Tuesday at 12:30 a. m., Feb. 17, 1925.

She leaves besides her bereaved husband, two sisters and a brother, Mary Daughrity and Mrs. B. F. Truax of Des Moines and George Daughrity of Bloomington, Indiana.

She was a devoted member of her church and always ready and willing to be of service.
