OBITUARIES

MISS VIOLET STONEBRAKER

Violet Stonebraker, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Silas Stonebraker, of Cantril, passed to her heavenly home on Wednesday morning, April 16, from a complication of diseases. For over six months she had been a sufferer from typhoid fever, being bedfast until just recently. Although quite weak she was thought to be improving until Wednesday morning, just at peep of day, her Savior, whom she faithfully served, called her to the home above. She was graduated with the 1912 class of the Cantril high school, and her death was a great shock to the class, with whom she was a favorite. She was loved by all who knew her, always obedient, kind and congenial. Her parents realizing her condition had bought a lovely home in Cantril, thinking the change would be a benefit to her, but this home will never be so bright again. The parents have the sympathy of the entire community in their sad bereavement. Funeral services were held at the Christian church on Friday, April 18, just one year from her graduation in the high school. Her pastor Eld. Pettit conducted the services and her class acted as pall bearers. The funeral was one of the largest ever held here. Interment was in the Cantril cemetery.
