Obituary of Mrs. Hinkle

Nannie E. Forbes, daughter of Andrew and Eura Forbes, was born near Pittsburg, Iowa, Aug. 17, 1865. She grew to womanhood on her father’s farm and during the pastorate of Rev. Potter united with the Methodist church at Pittsburg. Twenty-three years ago she moved with her father’s family to near Saguache, Colo., where she ever afterwards made her home. About twenty years ago she was married to Lewis Hinkle. She leaves to mourn their loss her father and four brothers: R. W., J. E. and G. O. Forbes, of Saguache and B. G. of Salt Lake City. Her mother, and sister Mary Frances preceded her in death. She died at her home at Saguache, Feb. 18, 1915, aged 49 years, 6 months and 1 day. Her remains, accompanied by her father and brother Will, arrived at Keosauqua Feb. 20, and the next day, Sunday, funeral services, conducted by Rev. Behrens, were held at the home of Robert Forbes of Keosauqua, an uncle of the deceased. Burial was at the Forbes cemetery.
