Farmington-last rites for 55 year old Jacob Hols who died Wednesday in a Keokuk hospital were held Friday afternoon at the Farmington Methodist Church. The Rev Donald Arthur officiated and burial was in Green Glade cemetery.
Hols was born near Pella on March 27, 1898 and moved with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Hols, to a farm near Farmington when he was sixteen years old.
Later he entered the produce business and operated a produce house in Farmington for 34 years.
Hols is survived by his widow, a son, William Hols and a daughter, Mrs. Harold Shriver both of Farmington and both by a former marriage, his father, William Hols and a brother and four sisters.
