Anna Margaret Wire, the daughter of William and Caroline Wire, was born near Bonaparte, Iowa July 2, 1871, and departed this life at a nursing home in Clarinda, Feb. 8, 1954 at the age of 82 years, 7 months and 6 days. In 1898 when about 27 years of age she came with a lady friend to southwest Iowa. On August 4, 1900 she was united in marriage to A. C. Bedell; and has since that time resided in Gravity.

To this marriage union 3 children were born: Arthur, Clarence and Mildred. When about 14 she accepted Christ as her Savior and untied with the Baptist church. When she came to Gravity she transferred her membership to the Methodist church where she was a member at the time of her death. She had been in failing health about 5 years.

Those left to mourn her passing are her husband, 4 sisters, 2 brothers, 3 children: Arthur of Fullerton, Calif., Clarence also in California and Mrs. Ed Henneman of Clarinda, Iowa; 2 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and many other relatives.

The funeral services were conducted in the Methodist church in Gravity by Rev. R. V. F[unreadable]. The burial was in Gravity cemetery.
