Ruth Rogers, 87, of Hereford, Texas, died Monday, January 23, 1989.

Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Hereford with the Rev. Jim Decamp of Amarillo officiating. Burial will follow in West Park Cemetery by Gililland-Watson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rogers was born in Milton, Iowa, and moved to Hereford in 1907, with her parents Ora Belle Tatman Lee and Charles Oscar Lee. She married Arthur Rogers in 1919 in Hereford. He preceded her in death in 1979. She was also preceded in death by a son Leo C. Rogers who was killed in Italy in World War II, September 9, 1943.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Rebekah Lodge, Gold Star Mothers of the American Legion, and the First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include a brother, Oscar G. Lee of Yuma, Ariz.; two nieces; and a nephew.

The family requests memorials to the Hereford Rebekah Lodge or the First Presbyterian Church.
