RESOLUTIONS OF CONDOLENCE

At a meeting of Birmingham Lodge No. 36, I.O.O.F., held Jan. 31st, 1880, the following resolutions were adopted:

Whereas, God in His infinite love and wisdom has removed by death the wife of Brother Geo. N. Skinner, a useful and beloved member of society,

Resolved, that in the death of Mrs. Lillie Skinner we fully realize the loss society has sustained and bow submissively to the Devine will of our Heavenly Father, who has called His faithful follower from labor to reward, for we feel that with her to be absent from the body is to be present with he Lord.

Resolved, That the members of our society will ever cherish her memory with affection and respect, and consider well the solemn lesson that the death of Lillie brings to each heart. We are reminded that our circle has again been broken, and another dear friend gathered home, and it behooves us to see that our lamps are kept trimmed and burning, that when the Master calls we may be also ready.

Resolved, That our Lodge hereby tenders its heartfelt and sincere sympathy to Brother Skinner and friends of the departed, with the earnest assurance that we too feel and mourn their loss.

Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be sent to the bereaved husband and to the Birmingham Enterprise for publication.

Will. H. Hope, J.W. Farrell, J.S. Miller. Com.
