Mrs. Edgar D. Crooks

Mrs. Ethel Dolores Crooks passed away at her home in Montrose at an early hour on March 24th. She had been a patient sufferer for over a year with an attack of influenza.

She was born at Bonaparte, Iowa, September 16, 1884, and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S.S. Troutman. She was married to Edgar Dallas Crooks in 1904 and for several years had lived in Montrose where her husband is station agent of the C.B.& Q.

Mrs. Crooks was a member of the First Presbyterian church, a charter member of the Women's Civic Club, and a member of the Parent-Teacher association, serving this organization in the capacity of president for two consecutive years, being the first president elected.

Surviving Mrs. Crooks are her husband, and three children, Mrs. Koch, Edgar Dallas, Jr., and Virginia Elizabeth, all of Montrose; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Troutman; two brothers, J.E. and F.M. Troutman of Bonaparte, one brother, J.S. Troutman of La Plata, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Elmer Smith of Des Moines and Mrs. Arnold Beard of Montrose.

The funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock in Montrose.
