Percy Earl Lowe, 88, of Country Lane Apartments, Keosauqua, IA died Tuesday, March 3, 1998 at Van Buren County Hospital, Keosauqua.
He was born Nov. 2, 1909 south of Bonaparte to Newton V. and Carrie M. Rockefellow Lowe. He married Mary Johnson July 1st, 1937 at Kahoka, MO.
He was a lifelong resident of Van Buren County except for a period of eight years spent in Newton, IA. He was a painter and wallpaper hanger well known around the area, and with his wife, operated Lowe’s Decorating Service in the Bonaparte until his retirement. He also worked for the Harmony School District as a bus driver for 17 years.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Richard of Keosauqua and Larry of Winter Park, CO; a daughter, Karen Duncan of Mt. Pleasant, six grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Elvin of Largo, FL along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Vorice Lowe and sister Lillian Hornbaker.
The body has been cremated. Memorial services will be held __________ __________. Burial of cremains will be at Bonaparte Cemetery at a later date.
