KATHRYN H. NORMAN

Kathryn Hayes Norman, the youngest daughter of William W. and Cynthia Hayes, was born on a farm near Kellerton, Iowa in Ringgold County, on June 1st, 1887. She came to Milton, with her parents, when but a few months old and has spent her entire life in this community. She graduated from the Milton High school in the class of 1905. She attended Normal Training School in Keosauqua and also Drake University. She spent several years teaching, having taught at Eureka and Elm districts, as well as in the Moulton, Iowa, and Milton grades, of the public school.

She was united in marriage to Albert R. Norman, on December 24th, 1911. Two children were born to this union, William Richard and an infant son, who has preceeded her in death.
