Raymond Stanley Arnold, son of Frank and Maggie Arnold, was born near Keosauqua, Van Buren county, Iowa, November 19, 1902, and departed this life at St. Alexis hospital, Cleveland, Ohio, June 15, 1933, being 30 years, 6 months and 27 days old at the time of his death. He was preceded in death by his father on January 21, 1915, and also by one brother, Walter, who died in infancy.

He leaves to mourn his departure his mother; one brother, Charlie, of Douds; five sisters, Mrs. Cora Myers of Arapaho, Okla., Mrs. Laura Stelle, Douds, Mrs. Hazel Murphy, Keosauqua, Miss Clara Arnold, Clinton, Okla., and Mrs. Marie Bartholomew, Keosauqua; two nieces; two nephews; and several near relatives and a host of friends.

He lived a clean upright life and made many friends wherever he went. To know Ray was to like him.

Funeral services were held at the Christian church in Keosauqua Monday at 2:30 and were conducted by Rev. M. B. Wilson, of Pleasantville, formerly of Keosauqua. Interment was in Purdom cemetery.
