PHILIP BENJAMIN BROWN

Philip Benjamin, son of David and Jane Morris Brown, was born near Lebanon, Iowa, May 18, 1862, and departed this life at his home on November 18, 1928, after a lingering illness of 8 months, at the age of 66 years and 6 months.

He was united in marriage to Susie Swiers on February 18, 188[blank], and to this union was born eleven children, Mrs. Dorothy Roberts of Seattle, Washington; Dennis D. (deceased); Chester C. of Keosauqua, Iowa; Mrs. Helen Davis, of Fairfield, Iowa; Mrs. Dora Bissell of Amarillo, Texas; Mrs. Eleta Carpenter of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Mrs. Irene Koonts, Paul S., Willa E., Foster D. and John Swiers all of Lebanon. Besides these children he leaves to mourn, eleven grandchildren, three brothers and four sisters, and a number of relatives and friends.

He united with the M. E. church of Lebanon, Iowa, 1895, and remained an active member until death.
