At 11:45 Tuesday forenoon April 13, 1909, N. U. Eberhard died at his home about three and a half miles south of Keosauqua, of kidney disease. Mr. Eberhard was one of the good men of the county and has lived where he died for fully twenty-five years. He was a soldier in the Union army during the war of the rebellion. He is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter. The funeral will be from the residence at 2 o'clock Thursday, of this week. The burial will be in the Keosauqua Oak Lawn
cemetery. An obitaury [sic] will appear next week.
