Leaves part of estate to Hospital
The Van Buren County Memorial Hospital and eight other organizations will receive a part of the estate left by Beulah DeVoss, who died last week.
The estate has been estimated in the millions of dollars.
According to her will, she left all real estate property to a Cantril resident and the rest to various associations and organizations.
Beulah and Don DeVoss (Mr. DeVoss died last month) had large landholdings in Van Buren county and had no children.
Two percent of the remaining estate was left to the hospital, Cantril UMC, Cantril Christian Church, Maple Grove Cemetery, Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association, American Cancer Society and American Heart Association.
What's left over was left to the hospital to start a trust fund for patients that are unable to pay for extended care unit treatment at the hospital.
