The marriage of Mr. W. M. Stewatt (sic) and Miss Adelia King took place at the residence of the bride's parents, in this city, on Thursday the 19th, inst.

There was a large company present to witness the nuptials, and extend to the young couple their congratulations, and to express the wish that the happy event might be crowned with lasting felicity. Among the presents were a house and lot, by the bride's parents; a Pictoral Home Bible, by the grooms parents; a set of silver knives, by Mr. and Mrs. F. Johnston; fruit dish, by Mrs. Jennie Sommerville; a cake stand by Mr. and Mrs. Sigler; cut glass bread plate, by Miss Mary Johnston; silver cake basket by Geo. W. Entler and Miss Josie Hall; silver castor, by Mr. W. V. Moore; glass set, Miss Kate Hall; damask table linen and napkins, by Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Murphey.

The young couple took the evening train for St. Louis, and were absent nearly a week. Mr. Stewart is one of our most sterling and promising young men, and the bride is a very amiable young lady. The future before them is bright and propitious.
