Loofbourrow – Easling.

The marriage of Miss Grace Josephine Easling to Joseph D. Loofbourrow was solemnized at Ottumwa Wednesday afternoon, June 2, 1909.

Mr. Loofbourrow and Miss Easling left Bonaparte for Ottumwa on the morning train Wednesday, accompanied by two sisters of the bride, Misses Margaret and Patti Easling, and their aunt, Mrs. J. G. Whiteley. The ceremony was performed at 3 o’clock in the afternoon, at the Baptist parsonage, Rev. Davies officiating. Those present besides those already mentioned were Mrs. Nellie Blackford of Ottumwa and Mr. Benj. Loofbourrow, a brother of the groom.

Mrs. Loofbourrow is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Easling of Bonaparte. Her parents, as well as her grandparents were old and respected residents? of this part of the country, and Josephine has a wide circle of admiring friends who are sorry to have her leave this community. She is a beautiful young lady fitted by nature and attainments to make a pleasant and happy home and will be a valuable addition to the social life of whatever community she honors. She will be missed by the young people of Bonaparte, especially by the Sunshine Society, an organization of which she is a charter member.

Mr. Loofbourrow is a son of Mrs. Mary Loofbourrow of Fairfield. His father, the late Jas. Loofbourrow was a former resident of Cedar Twp., and there the groom lived until he was ready to leave the country school. He has spent nine years away at school, first going to Mt. Pleasant, then two years at Omaha, then finishing a four year course in Mechanical Engineering at Armour Institute of Technology, Chicago. He is a fortunate young man in the choice of his life partner, and the RECORD wishes him success in his other undertakings.

Mr. and Mrs. Loofbourrow are now at home in Fairfield, Iowa. Later in the summer they expect to take a trip to Seattle Exposition.
