Our town council is getting ready to oil the streets, after waiting for weeks for the oil. The streets will be in good shape for Chautauqua. Everything possible is being done to have things in good order for that event. Our program, we think, is about the best all-around one we have ever had. We have been enabled to add some new features; one, the 54th Regiment Band, for the last Sunday. It is a fine musical organization and will add greatly to the entertainment. We are also to have Senator Hitchcock, who has been democratic leader of congress, and has taken such an active part trying to get the league of nations ratified. He will speak on that subject on Tuesday evening, the 17th, at 8 o'clock. Come and hear him whether you are for or against the league. He will undoubtedly make a great speech.
