Sept. 7 [1892] at the residence of Mr. Alonzo Cox, the brides's father in Keosauqua, Iowa, Ira C. Sechrist, of Mountain Grove, and Miss Rena Cox.
Mr. Sechrist, who has resided in this vicinity all his life, is an exceptionally trustworthy and promising young man. From childrhood up he has been esteemed for noble character, and the whole community will join with us in wishing the happy couple a long and happy life.
They left for Willow Springs Tuesday where Mr. S. had purchased property, he being employed as postal clerk, and his run being from Willow Springs to Memphis.----------------------------------
Mrs. Allen Sechrist entertained a number of friends at dinner last Saturday in honor of her son, Ira C. Sechrist and his bride, who had arrived on that morning's train from Kansas City where they had spent a day or two sight seeing on their way from Keosauqua, Iowa, the home of the bride.
The following guests were present: Mr. and Mrs. Randolph Cox, Mrs. Clarinda Anson and her four children, Mr. and Mrs. B. E. Ellis, Miss Carrie Cox, Mr . J. M. Cassil, and Mr. and Mrs. S. T. Talcott.While I am a distant relative to these people, credit for this obituary should be given to Mrs. Duane “Lori” Boyd of Arvada, CO.
