Edward McCarthy, of Grand Rapids Mich., a railway employe (sic), and May Roderick, daughter of Thomas Roderick of Bonaparte, were married Wednesday evening by Justice Parrott.

Note: written in pencil next to the obituary is
"Jan 14th." Exact dates of 1882 and 1883 are printed in other marriage clippings pasted on this scrapbook page, suggesting the date of the marriage to be early 1880's.
