SAID THAT HE WILL DIE
--------
Becomes Despondent After Spouse Takes Her Leave and Seeks to End His Existence-Physician Says the Patient Will Not Recover.

Keosauqua, June 12. - (Special.) - James Cochran, a young farmer in good circumstances, residing about three miles west of here, undertook to take his own life yesterday afternoon by taking poison. Dr. Craig, of this place, was called and it is reported that he said that Mr. Cochran could not live. Despondency over his wife having deserted him a few days ago caused him to do the act. Mrs. Cochran took with her their one child, a little girl, went to her parent's home near Cantril. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Nicolson.
