SURPRISED HIS FRIENDS.
Wedded in Illinois February 12,
1902, and may locate
at Alton.PARKER – CALAME.
- - -Mr. Sidney Parker of Bonaparte and Mrs. Emily Calame of Alton, Ill., were united in marriage at the home of the bride’s brother, W.T. Sweetenham near Trilla, Ill. The ceremony took place at 3 P.M., Wednesday, Feb. 12, 1902, Justice McPhearson offiating.
Mrs. Parker is not known to the people of this community in which the groom has so many life long friends, but among those who know her, can be heard nothing but expressions of highest esteem. She is an energetic lady, for although she inherited a comfortable fortune she has conducted a dress making establishment for years. She is an active member of the Baptist church of Alton, and Mr. Parker is to be congratulated on having so worthy a helpmate. Mr. Parker has been a quiet, industrious citizen of Bonaparte for many years, and his friends will regret that he intends to make his future home in Ill., instead of Bonaparte. The bride and groom were good friends in their youth and have since that time remembered each other favorably.
Mr. and Mrs. Parker will visit for a few weeks among relatives after which they will probably locate in Alton, Ill.
