Harlan-Holmes.
Roscoe B. Harlan and Miss Elizabeth Holmes were married Tuesday, June 16, 1908, at eight o'clock P. M., Rev. Cooney of Kahoka, Missouri, officiating. The ceremony occurred at the home of the bride's parents Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Holmes, in Harrisburg township.
A number of guests were present, intimate friends and relatives of Mr. Harlan and Miss Holmes. Refreshments were served soon after the ceremony.
Mrs. Harlan is a graduate of the Bonaparte high school and has taught several terms of school in this County. She is well known in this vicinity as young lady of charming manner and accomplishment and Mr. Harlan is to be congratulated in securing such a bride.
The bridegroom, Mr. Harlan is a son of Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Harlan of Hillsboro and is a barber. They will make their home in Hillsboro, where the best wishes of many friends will help them in getting a good start upon the sea of matrimony. The RECORD extends congratulations.
