The wedding bells rang Christmas day at the Logan Simmons home south of town, when Mr. Clarence Smart, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Smart, and Miss Grace Simmons, eldest daughter of Logan Simmons, were united in marriage at the bride’s home.

The ceremony was performed at 6 o’clock p.m., Rev. Blagg of Mt. Sterling officiating. There were fifty guests present, all relatives of the bride and groom, and all enjoyed the sumptuous wedding Christmas dinner provided for them.

Mrs. Smart is well known in Bonaparte, having lived some time with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. David Simmons. She is a most capable young lade, and the young man can not fail to prosper with her for a helper.

Mr. Smart is an enterprising young farmer who has rented the Matlock farm, where he and his bride will begin house keeping at once.
