Married, at Socorro, N. M., Rev. Santiago Chavez, of the Mexican M. E. church officiating, on June 19, 1909 at 4 p.m., Mrs. Ella B. Swerer and Mr. Harry Edwards. The home will be made in Magdalena, N. M., where the groom has a position as superintendent of the mines of that place. Mrs. Swerer is a sister of the Sherman boys of this city and is also well acquainted at Bonaparte, where her mother, Mrs. D. T. Sherman resides. The Independent heartily extends wishes for great happiness.

Relatives and friends at Bonaparte have received the announcement of the marriage of Mrs. Ella B. Swerer of Chicago to Mr. Harry Edwards of Socorro, New Mexico, the Rev. Santiago Chavez of the Mexican M. E. church officiating, and the ceremony being performed June 19,. Their home will be made at Magdalena, N. M., where Mr. Edwards is employed. Mrs. Edwards formerly lived in Bonaparte, being a daughter of D. T. Sherman, former editor of this paper, and a sister of Mrs. E. C. Smith. Her mother also resides here. Best wishes are extended them by many friends here.
