KEOSAUQUA (AP)-Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Greiner of Fairfield were misinformed about the stork's intentions Monday.
After waiting at Memorial Hospital for nearly 11 hours with no results they left at 2:30 p.m. to go back to the home of Mrs. Greiner's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Sparks.
Without warning the stork arrived at the Sparks home with two babies, not one.
Before arrangements could be made for a return trip to the hospital a 3-pound, 12 ounce boy was born at 4:40 p.m.
A call was made to Dr. J.T. Worrell of Keosauqua but he and his office nurse didn't get there in time for the birth of the other twin, a 5-pound, 15 ounce baby.
The Greiners now have three children all less than one year. Their oldest child is a 10-months old boy. The twins were placed in an incubator at the hospital where the mother was taken. Her husband is employed at the Standard station in Fairfield.
