In her enthusiam(sic) to make this day happy and memorable for her beloved sister, she employed her accomplished skill in preparing one of the most delicious and sumptuous dinners ever prepared in her home. Her sisters company were as follows: Mesdames Anna Enderweise, Anna Collins, Kate Sullivan, of Farmington, Mrs. Ellen Enderweise, Earl Enderweise and Nora Barbara Burrier of Acasto and Mrs. Lizzie Edmondson of Keokuk.

Rs. Sullivan’s many friends will be interested to know, that although she has reached this unusual age, she retains good health and ability to enjoy life at the utteamost(sic). She was born in Bavaria, Germany, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Enderweise.

Her mother died when she was thirteen years, whereupon she assumed the care of her father’s household and rearing of her younger brothers and sisters. She married John Sullivan in 1878 and they established a home, ever a haven of peace and hospitality. Mrs. Sullivan’s life is a testament to her ideas. --- Written by Nora B. Burrier.
