WHO'S WHO IN FORTY-TWO

EVERT EDWIN VINEYARD

Evert Edwin Vineyard will graduate next week from K.H.S. But Evert didn't just grow up; he had to live 16 years and several months first.

First he was born (this is rather obvious)on August 17, 1925. After six years of happiness on the farm, Evert started to Grey grade school. He received a reprimand (spanking, to you) because he didn't have his lesson. Then a year or so later, while he was playing, he sat on his brother's feet. His brother found this rather uncomfortable. Much to his surprise, Evert found himself being gently (?) pushed forward. He landed on his forearm and broke both bones in it. Then he came to Keosauqua for high school. In his sophomore year he went out for declamatory and read a humorous poem called "Tom Sawyer's Love Affair. One of Evert's hobbies is cross-word puzzles. Another one is eating-especially ice cream. After graduation, farming appeals to him more than anything; but if Hitler interrupts this schedule, he wants to join the mechanized division of our army. Keep up the good work, Evert, and here's wishing you success and plenty of it.
