Dinner Honors 75th Birthday of Mrs. Cox

MANITO (TPS) --- Mrs. Dolly Hobbs and son, Joseph, were hosts Sunday evening at a turkey dinner, given in honor of the 75th birthday of Mrs. Effie Cox. The lovely table setting carried out the holiday theme. Placemats were decorated with red candles and green holly; tall red tapers stood in silver holders, and a birthday cake was beautifully decorated for the festive occasion.

Following dinner, guests were treated with movies from Dillard Warner’s collection. There were views of the trip in Canada when Joseph Hobbs was district governor of Rotary International. Also shown were several of the weddings that had taken place in and near Manito in the past two years.

Later in the evening a luncheon was served, when the honoree cut her birthday cake.

Guests present were B. B. Cox, Miss Mae Talbott, Messrs and Mesdames M. H. Boyd, Stuart W. Thomas and Clyde Priddy and daughter, Clarabelle, and the honoree, Mrs. Cox.
