PIERCEVILLE LOCAL NO. 630
**Handwritten: 1931

Pierceville Local No. 630 came thru the year 1931, 100 percent. This year we may lose some thru removal. Owing to the depression we are paying state and county dues and carrying the Local dues in our pockets to prevent further loss in possible bank failures.

We have added a new Junior, Etta Marlene, little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Rekhopf. This elevates our secretary Albert Rekhopf and his wife to the order of Grandma and Grandpa.

Our Thanksgiving supper was held with A.W. Glasscock and wife and gave the members of privilege of once more visiting with Mrs. Glascock's father, Oliver Rowe. It was our pleasure to have taken dinner with Mr. Rowe on his 93th birthday last April 4th and enjoyed the visit and the recalling of events that happended many years ago.

Mr. Rowe, altho confined to his chair, enjoyed the company of the Union members and the music furnished by his daughter, Geo. and Reathel Carter and Albert Rehkopf.

The Christmas supper was held with Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Howard, 38 partaking of the cooperative supper. A play was given by six Misses, Mildred Glasscock, Madeline Rehkopf, Catharine Clark, Margaret Howard and Margaret and Mary Ida Raderstock.

Readings by Mrs. Betty Martin and Bernice Martin, recitations by Margaret Davis, Buddy Raderstock and William Chany; select reading by Mrs. Rekkopf; music by Mrs. Glasscock and daughter, Mildred, Madeline Rekkopf and brother Floyd also by Geo. Carter and wife on violin and guitar.

After Santa disposed of the grab bag, election of officers was held.
