BLOME-M'CARTY WEDDING SATURDAY

A midwinter wedding of more than local interest took place Saturday evening in the parsonge of the Willard Street Episcopal church when Miss Alice Josephine McCarty, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. McCarty, of 515 Hamilton street, and Arthur L. Blome of Iowa City were married at a ring service read at 6 o'clock by the Rev. L.H. Lanning in the presence of the bride's parents. The bride wore a spring frock of printed chiffon and carried an arm bouquet of Madame Butterfly roses.

Mrs. Blome, who is a junior student in the college of commerce at the University of Iowa, was graduated in June, 1926 from the Ottumwa high school. She is a member of Phi Omega Pi, social sorority, Phi Gamma Nu, commerce fraternity and of Pilliar chapter of Commerce Girls' organization. She is also vice president of her class.

Mr. Blome is a junior in the medical college at Iowa City, is the son of Mrs. George D. Blome of Glendale, Calif. He is a member of Alpha Kappa Kappa, medical fraternity.

Mr. and Mrs. Blome and Mr. and Mrs. McCarty went to Iowa City Sunday, where they were guests at a dinner in the evening in the home of Mr. Blome's brother, Dr. Glen Blome and Mrs. Blome. The bride's brother, H.H. McCarty, who is an instructor at the state university, and Mrs. McCarty were also guests at the dinner.

The bridal couple will be at home after March 15 at 308 Davenport street, Iowa City.
