VERLE ARNOLD OF MILTON ON CHAMPION TEAM

Verle Arnold of Milton, a grandson of H.C. Miller of Keosauqua, was a member of the champion "Lamb Judging Team" at the Chicago International. Other members of the team were John H. Harding of Grimes and Clarence Moffitt of Ackworth, Iowa. Arnold was first in judging lamb. Harding tied for 7th place in judging all meats(?) and tied for sixth place in judging lamb.

The young men are students of Iowa State college at Ames. They were in competition with teams from colleges and universities in thirteen states in the meat judging contest at the International Live Stock Expostion.
