Raap-Wunder

On New Year's day, the pleasant home of Mr. and Mrs. Guy R. Johnson occurred the marriage of Miss Christine Wunder and Mr. John Raap, the ceremony being performed by Rev. Jas. Clare of the Presbyterian church of this city, and witnessed by the G. R. and Chas.? Johnson families. The words were spoken at 3 p. m.

The bride is a sister of Mrs. G. R. Johnson, and is a resident of Davenport, coming here last week for a visit and the pleasing marriage is the happy culmination. Mrs. Rapp is known to many of our people, having visited here last summer, and is a young lady of splendid qualities, possessing many friends.

The groom is a pleasant gentleman to meet and in his short stay here made many friends. He is employed as shipping clerk in the Agar Packing house at Des Moines, and the home will continue at that place.

{Note: groom's surname spelled different ways in article. Position in scrapbook suggest year was 1908]
