Married at Smithshire.

Smithshire, Ill., Jan. 6 - (Special to Bee) - One of the most fashionable weddings of the season occurred at the comfortable home of Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Thompson, Wednesday evening, Dec. 31, 1902, at 5 p. m. when some ninety five guests assembled to witness the marriage of their daughter, Miss Daisy Dell to Mr. Noah B. House of Bonaaprte, Ia.

To the beautiful strains of the wedding march, played by Miss Ariel Dodge of Rushville, Ill., they descended the stairs and proceeded to the northwest corner of the prettily decorated parlor where, beneath a large wishbone, done in lace and holly and silver bell, and before a bank of potted plants, they were made husband and wife by Rev. James Getty of the M. E. church.

After the ceremony an elegant two course supper was served in the dining room. Each guest was given a small wish bone of ribbon in remembrance of the occasion. The decorations of the dining room were green and white, large streamers of ribbons in these colors being hung from the chandelier to the four corners of the table and sprigs of holly and white carnations were used as decorations.

In the sitting room pink and white prevailed and in the parlors pink, white and green were prettily interwoven.

The bride was gowned in white Peau de Sole trimmed with silk lace and ribbon and made en train. The groom was dressed in a handsome black suit.

The bride is one of the most beautiful and highly respected young ladies in this community and is loved by all. The groom is a young man of excellent character, and with whom this young lady's future is secure. He has made many friends since entering our midst.

Many beautiful and costly gifts were presented the newly wedded pair, tokens of esteem from their friends.

About 10:30 the couple left for Stronghurst and at 12 o'clock took the train to Bonaparte to visit a few days with the groom's parents, after which they leave for California. The bride's traveling dress was blue broadcloth, trimmed with white silk. The best wishes of many friends will follow them through life.
