WILL WED THIS AFTERNOON

After Three Years Two Young
People Celebrate the day of
Their Meeting.

Wm. LONG - ROXANA KERR

Another one of the fair daughters of Bonaparte will, this afternoon, be united in the hold bands of wedlock with one of the sons of Keosauqua. This wedding will not be much of a surprise, for it has been looked forward to by everyone as an event that was sure to take place.

At 2 o'clock this afternoon, October 15, 1902, will occur the marriage of Miss Roxana Beatrice Kerr and Mr. William Hunter Long. The ceremony will take place at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Kerr, in Bonaparte. Only the immediate relatives of the bride and groom will be present to witness the ceremony which will be conducted by Rev. J. L. Ayrault, pastor of the Baptist church. The bride will be gowned in pure white chrysanthemums, symbolical of this season of the year. The groom will wear a suit of black. The wedding march will be played by Mrs. John DeHart, sister of Mr. Long. After the ceremony a wedding dinner will be served and Mr. and Mrs. Long will leave on the 4:20 train for Keosauqua where they will be at home for the present at the residence of Mr. Long's parents.

The bride, Miss Roxana Kerr, has lived in Bonaparte since a little girl; she completed the course of study in the High School and was graduated in the class of '99, in her studies always having ranked among the best. She is a lovely and much beloved young woman, possessing a lively, buoyant spirit which makes her the soul of a company of young people.

Mr. Long is a native of Keosauqua, having been born and raised there. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Long. His father is a master carpenter and Will learned the trade with him, having made himself proficient in that line. He is a young man well liked and spoken of by those of his community. A man with a pleasant manner, alert in business, master of a good trade and possessing a wife of true worth - what more could a young man want with which to begin life?

Mr. and Mrs. Long's wedding day is the third anniversary of the day when they made each others acquaintance.
