Baseball Club Gets a Wife.SHERMAN-MYERS.
On Wednesday evening, April 30, 1902, at the Presbyterian parsonage in Galesburg, Ill., Norman Sherman and Miss Maud Myers were made husband and wife, Rev. Spencer of the Galesburg Presbyterian Church performing the ceremony in the presence of the immediate relatives of the bride.
The marriage has been contemplated for some time and does not come as a surprise to Bonaparte people who are acquainted with them. Mr. Sherman has already furnished the Ridgeway home on Bridge Street where they are now at home to friends.
Mr. Sherman is a popular young gentleman of Bonaparte and is widely known because of his skill as a baseball pitcher. He is at present employed in Whiteleys' department store.
The bride is not a Bonaparte girl but having been for about two years employed by Meek Bros. Co. in the clothing factory she is well known here. With her parents she formerly resided in Farmington.
They arrived in Farmington Thursday and came to Bonaparte on the evening of that day. Their friends wish them joy, happiness, and contentment in their new home.
