MARRIED IN OTTUMWA.
Two Young People of Van Buren
Co., Made Happy Yesterday.CUBBERLY-LISLE
A quite wedding took place yesterday evening in South Ottumwa, the contracting parties being young people of Van Buren County. Mr. J. Fred Cubberly of Keosauqua and Miss Dorothy G. Lisle of Bonaparte were united in marriage at 8 P. M. Jan. 14, at the Methodist parsonage, Rev. R. L. Patterson officiating, in the presence of two witnesses, Miss Lenna Bell of Bonaparte and Mr. George Willard of Mt. Pleasant. The bride was attired in a becoming suit of dark blue broadcloth, trimmed in white silk and appliqué. The groom wore the customary black.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. John Lisle of Bonaparte and has lived in this place all her life. She completed the course of study in the schools here, and was graduated in the class of '98. A young lady of ability, she is highly respected by all. She has also a pleasing personality that has made her a general favorite with the young people.
Mr. Cubberly is an energetic young man formerly of Keosauqua, but now foreman of the Ottumwa Democrat. He has an ability for business that insures his future success.
A pretty home on North Holt St., Ottumwa, was in readiness for the happy couple, and there Mr. and Mrs. Cubberly began house keeping at once.
Their many friends in Van Buren Co. extend best wishes for a happy and prosperous life.
