BERNARDINE FORBES BECOMES BRIDE OF NAVY MAN
A double ring ceremony at 9 o’clock on Tuesday evening united in marriage Miss Bernardine Forbes, daughter of Mrs. Ella Bales, and Earl John Clark, chief boatswain’s mate of the U. S. Navy, at the home of the bride’s sister, Mrs. Dorothy E. Bolt, of West Center street.
Performed by Rev. H. H. Hocker, the ceremony was preceded by an accordion solo by Miss Barbara Budd. Miss Ruth Bane played the wedding marches.
Given in marriage by Mont Forbes of Downey, the bride was costumed in a blue crepe with brown accessories and wore an orchid corsage.
A graduate of Covina high school Mrs. Clark attrended U.C.L.A. and is now head nurse in the orthopedic department of the Los Angeles county hospital.
The groom has been stationed in Panama for the last three and a half years and will return to his station in two weeks.
The groom’s mother, Mrs. H. M. Clark, of Kewanee, Missouri, was among the wedding guests.
