Married At Milton In 1880
From the Files of The Republican
of March 18, 1880

John M. Carroll, of Davis county, and
Miss Alice Dyer, one of our Van Buren
county teachers, were married at Milton,
March 4, 1880. Rev. L. C. Carroll officiating.
A large stock of clothing for men and
boys at E. Mannings.
Old Mr. May, of Pittsburg is dangerously sick.
John Cassidy of Bonaparte, left for Colorado
last week.
E. Manning will receive a nice line of dress and trimming silk in a few days.
Solon Nourse was re-elected president of the
School board last Monday night.
The Hotel Des Moines, Farmington, is one of the best places to stop in Southeastern Iowa.
Miss Addie George and Miss McCullough, are the teachers hired for the spring term of the Milton
school.
