Mr & Mrs. Grover Forbes dinner

On Friday 22nd, an infair dinner was given by Andrew Forbes to welcome his son, Grover, and his bride, Miss Funk of Pittsburg, Iowa. From Saguache were present Mrs. Nannie Hinkle, sister of the groom, and Mrs. J. J. Keller and her daughter, Mrs. George McKelvey. A company of 30 sat down to a sumptuous feast prepared by Mrs. Young. In addition to these Saguache friends all the immediate neighbors had assembled to bid a hearty welcome to the young wife who had left the home and friends of her girlhood to fill a daughter’s place in her father-in-law’s home. Andrew Forbes’ friends are glad for his sake, that in his closing years he will not lack for daughterly care and companionship.
