The marriage of Miss Lucy Kimmel and Mr. David McGaffey took place Sunday, Sept. 7, 1919, at the home of the officiating minister, J.M. Hedges of the Keosauqua Christian church. Mr. McGaffey is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert McGaffey of the Pittsburg neighborhood. He has lived in this county all of his life and is well known. He was in Uncle Sam's service in the late war. Miss Kimmel is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kimmel, who live near Keosauqua. These young people start out in life with bright prospects for a long, happy journey, and their many friends wish them joy. They will live for the present at the McGaffey home near Pittsburg.
