BENJAMIN H. YOUNG
Benjamin H. Young was born Jan. 15, 1806, near Roxburg, New Jersey. He grew to manhood in that locality, where he married Mary Fangboner, also of Roxburg vicinity, in 1827. She was born May 28, 1807.
They resided in New Jersey until the spring of 1843, when they came to Iowa, and settled in what is now the eastern part of Bonaparte township, where the remainder of their lives was spent of their farm.
They had eleven children; Peter, Caroline, Comanger P., Benjamin, Maria, Abram, Almira, born in New Jersey, and Isaac F., Margaret, Mary and Ellen, born in Iowa, the last two names are now living.
Benjamin H. Young's father was in the American Revolution under George Washington as chief wagoner.
Benjamin H. Young died April 28, 1866, and his wife Dec. 3, 1902.
